Holland Launching Numerical Domain Names
SIDN, the Dutch registry, plans to introduce numerical .NL domains next January. A Sunrise Period for holders of registered Benelux and Community trademarks or trade names starts December 1, 2007. A numerical domain name consists exclusively of digits (e.g. 1234.nl) or of a combination of digits and a hyphen (e.g. 12-34.nl). Numerical .NL domains will go live and be open for registration without restrictions at the end of January 2008.
